This year, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, we are participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.
Last year, more than 45,000 organisations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities.
To mark the day we are launching our Gift of Learning Christmas campaign, where every £13 donated helps us support a child through Secondary Education.

Day of the African Child celebration was held countrywide on the 16th June 2016, with the National event being held in Turkana County. Nairobi County. Our choir took part by presenting a song. The theme for the year was “Conflict and crisis in Africa – protecting all children’s rights”.
On 31st May the home was awake with celebration to host her Excellency Mrs. Li Ping, wife of the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya with her delegation. They donated school bags, balls, dolls and other valuables including food stuff. This was to mark the International Day for Children prior to the D-day. Each child received a personal gift inside a school bag.
The world's leading amateur golfer, Romain Langasque, visited The Kenya Children's Home orphanage in Nairobi during the Kenya Open a few weeks ago. A video of his visit can be viewed on our Facebook page. For more information on Romain Langasque click here>
